Dallas realtors are really being tested in today’s market.  It is certainly not like it used to be.  A few years ago it was a seller’s market.  Realtors had fewer properties to list, but once they hit the MLS, buyers would flock to see the property.  Buyer’s choices were limited and the sellers had the upper hand.  Some buyers actually offered more than the listing price to obtain the home.  That is not the case today.  Realtors have more properties for sale and there is competition in the Dallas area. 

This is why, if you are in the market for Dallas real estate, you need the services of a realtor.  They are more valuable than ever.  Searching for a home through the internet helps in many ways, but doesn’t take the place of a realtor.  Let’s say you are buying a new home, so you don’t think you need the services of a realtor.  Realtors have experience with these builders that you don’t have and will make sure you are getting your money’s worth.  They will also ensure you are getting the complete list of amenities and incentives from the builder.  Some builders offer discounted homes to participating Dallas real estate agents, so don’t cut yourself short.  The realtor knows the ins and outs and also may have been hired by the builder to put their listings in the Dallas MLS.  With the current economy they probably need all the help they can get.  Ultimately, you will reap the rewards.
