Frisco, TX made the top 100 list in Money Magazine’s best places to live for 2008, coming in at 38. This is quite a feat for such a small population (80,000), but that may be one of the appeals of this up-and-coming city. With a property tax rate of only 2.15% in 2008, Frisco real estate may be a place worth investing in. Developers forecast a population boom, as construction continues on new areas all around the Frisco area. With a change in the political arena, changes are predicted in many areas of the economy. In realty, timing is everything, and the time to buy is now. Another area, not far from Frisco, that did surprisingly well on the list is Allen, TX, east of Plano. Allen offered a strong showing, coming in at 20 on the list of 100 best places to live in 2008.
