What would it be like to live in one of the best cities in America?
The Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) Metroplex is home to booming communities, such as in Frisco and Plano, while also maintaining century old neighborhoods in Carrolton, Richardson, and Addison, just to name a few. In addition, these cities and surround neighborhoods provide a wide variety of living opportunities for the Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) Metroplex, from more recent developments in Plano, Frisco and Allen to older, more established communities in Addison, Carrollton, and Richardson, some of which date back to the late 1800s.
However, many of these established communities have also experienced a spurt of growth in this last decade due to its many attractive features. Just 12 miles north of Dallas on Highway 75, families and young professionals find Richardson an excellent suburban location with larger than average home sizes. Residents don't have to drive far for entertainment because Richardson is home to many community events, including the famous Wildflower singer/songwriter festival. For families and first-time homebuyers, Richardson's affordable home and rental prices offers an opportunity for convenient Dallas living and commuting.
Not all cities have highways running through them as Richardson does, but 13 cities can boast that the Dallas' super-speedy Dart Rail System stops in their town. For example, the affluent Plano is 20 miles north of Dallas, hosts many corporate headquarters so commuting is not a problem for many residents, but when travel to Dallas is needed, the Dart is their to provide it. On the other hand, the fast-growing and also affluent suburb of Frisco is located off of the Dallas North Tollway 30 miles north of Dallas, which might make a carpool arrangement pleasurable.
Texas is also home to older neighborhoods that are protected conservation districts because of their historic nature.
If you are wondering when you should buy your home, look into the current market forces, such as government incentives, market value of homes, and interest rates. These of course, vary over time, but Dallas real estate boasts low interest rates and affordable home prices that make buying a home in this lengthy period of recession a dream come true. In addition, DFWs great school system is a great incentive for family relocation.
