Would you like to live in one of the best cities in America?

Out of 100 ranked cities in Money Magazine's top 100 places to living in America, Frisco came in at 38, Richardson at 18, and Carrolton at 15. In addition, these cities and surround neighborhoods provide a wide variety of living opportunities for the Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) Metroplex, from more recent developments in Plano, Frisco and Allen to older, more established communities in Addison, Carrollton, and Richardson, some of which date back to the late 1800s.

However, Richardson, like its surrounding neighborhoods, has seen a steady climb in population due to job growth and excellent living conditions. More people have found this city to be a great place to raise a family and young professionals like staying relatively close to the heart of Dallas, while enjoying a larger home with a more suburban feel.
Families and young professionals enjoy living in a Richardson's larger-sized homes and making the more-than-tolerable commute to Dallas just 12 miles south on Highway 75. Like many great Dallas suburbs, Richardson puts on events to tie the community together, including the yearly singer/songwriter festival, Wildflower, which boasts over 50,000 attendees. For families and first-time homebuyers, Richardson's affordable home and rental prices offers an opportunity for convenient Dallas living and commuting.

Not all cities have highways running through them as Richardson does, but 13 cities can boast that the Dallas' super-speedy Dart Rail System stops in their town. One such city is the well-to-do and ever-popular Plano, which is home to many major corporations' headquarters, so commuting to work might not be an issue for many residents, but when a business-trip to Dallas is on the schedule, Dart offers a stress-free 20-mile transport. On the other hand, the Dallas North Tollway offers other affluent and booming cities like Frisco (with no Dart access) an alternate method of do-it-yourself transport down part of the 30-mile trek to Dallas.

Rather than a choosing a modern development of luxory homes, you might like to engage in historical living in one of DFW's conservation districts which are beaming with wide streets lined with mature foliage.

When determining a good time to buy a home, consider mortgage interest rate levels, home price levels, and government incentives such as Homebuyer's Tax Credit. Thousands of people around the nation are relocating to the Dallas area because each of these factors are strong here. In addition, DFW is well known for a great school system making family relocation to Texas and Dallas in particular a great advantage.
