What would it be like to live in one of the best cities in America?

Money Magazine (2008) ranked Carrolton 15th, Richardson, 18th, and Frisco, 38th.
Specifically, Carrolton ranked #15, Richardson ranked #18, and Frisco ranked in at #38 out of 100 according to the 2008 Money Magazine list of Best Places to Live in America. The Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) area boasts some of the fastest growing developments in the nation, such as in Plano and Frisco, while also housing time-honored communities in comfortable suburbs, such as Richardson, Carrolton, and Addison.

However, many of these established communities have also experienced a spurt of growth in this last decade due to its many attractive features. More people have found this city to be a great place to raise a family and young professionals like staying relatively close to the heart of Dallas, while enjoying a larger home with a more suburban feel.
Families and young professionals enjoy living in a Richardson's larger-sized homes and making the more-than-tolerable commute to Dallas just 12 miles south on Highway 75.
Richardson residents also enjoy events in the arts and entertainment, such as the singer-songwriter gala known as Wildflower. With home prices in Richardson averaging under 200,000 and with its affordable rentals, this suburb offers an attractive entry into the community of greater Dallas.

Some cities are not so lucky to have a highway going through it like Richardson has, but they are lucky to have Dallas' light rail system—Dart. One of these is the affluent community of Plano, where many corporations make their headquarters and where Dart transports residents on a 20 mile stress-free commute southbound to downtown Dallas. On the other hand, the fast-growing and also affluent suburb of Frisco is located off of the Dallas North Tollway 30 miles north of Dallas, which might make a carpool arrangement pleasurable.

DFW is also home to many historic neighborhoods that are protected as such, boasting with wide streets lined with beautifully aged trees and a rich heritage.

If you are wondering when you should buy your home, look into the current market forces, such as government incentives, market value of homes, and interest rates. These factors vary from season to season, but DFW remains strong in offering some of the best conditions for buying a home. In addition, DFW is well known for excellent education, providing an incentive to families to relocate.
Another incentive to relocating to DFW, especially for families, is the choice of many excellent schools.
