With so many homes for sale in so many areas in Texas, you might wonder where you should start looking. The type of area you would like to live in and the criterion that are most important to you will have great significance on your ultimate decision. There are two suburbs in the Dallas area that you should consider, as this is one of the most popular places in the country to live. A high quality educational system, the safety of a relatively small city and beautiful, unique homes can be found in both.
Families with children, as well as single people looking to be near the limelight will be happy in either city, and they ar both convenient for business travelers. While there are very many nice cities in Texas, Plano stands out as a northeat suburb of Dallas as a city with about as many amenities as you will find anywhere. Plano is a hot, up-and-coming area because while it is a quiet, safe city, it is a short distance from Dallas, on well-planned roads. Quite a few of the nearby Fortune 500 companies are seeking employees, so Plano will not disapoint in the job area!
Many of those companies have their corporate headquarters in or near Plano, making it a good choice for those seeking an upward move in their career. Because Plano has a great school system, your children will also advance on their own road to success. More desirable cities can be a little underdeveloped in terms of their amenities, especially those that are smaller suburbs. Plano does not have this problem.
There are shopping and dining options for every taste - live in Plano and you will no longer have to worry where you will buy that specialty item that will turn your house into the home of your dreams. You will have your choice of entertainment in Plano, also as there are, for instance, world-famous spas and hot-air balloon rides available during the day, while the nighttime sparkles.
The second suburb you might consider, is Frisco, and it is one of the faster-growing communities in the real estate market (CNN). As a matter of fact, Frisco's real estate market has remained relatively strong throughout this recession.
This shows that it has been a sound investment to buy a home in Frisco, and that is expected to continue. Frisco is 20 minutes north of downtown Dallas, and 25 minutes from both Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and Love Field.
Like Plano, Frisco provides an excellent quality of life, it is also close to many businesses and has a popular conference center that holds trade shows year-round. Frisco is constantly ranked as one of the most desirable places to live because it has an excellent school system, high median income, high job growth, and small-town charm. There are over 150 pieces of art on public display throughout Frisco, all year round, and it has four professional sports teams.
There is major league soccer play at Pizza Hut Park, where a variety of concerts and football take place, and the Dallas Stars are the popular home team.
Those with more 'cultural' taste will enjoy the beautiful sculputre garden in Frisco and find a variety of events to suit them.
