With so many homes for sale in so many areas in Texas, you might wonder where you should start looking. Your decision on where to begin will depend on the amenities you are looking for and the type of neighborhood that best suits you. There are two suburbs in the Dallas area that you should consider, as this is one of the most popular places in the country to live. A safe living community, quality educational system and high-level housing are common to both.

Families with small children, as well as business travelers, will find both of these cities to be quite desirable, and those looking for nightlife will have a lot from which to choose. Plano, Texas is a suburb just a bit northeast of Dallas that has about as much to offer as any city in the Country. It is within a short driving distance of Dallas, and the roads there are well planned and maintained, making this a very trendy place to live. There are many companies seeking new employees in the area of Plano, and many of these are Fortune 500.

Many of those companies have their corporate headquarters in or near Plano, making it a good choice for those seeking an upward move in their career. Plano boasts an excellent school system, which will make both you and your children happier. It is well known that many suburbs of desirable large cities can be a little under-developed in terms of amenities. Plano does not have this problem.

When you live in Plano, you will never have to worry about where to go to eat and dine, Plano has, or has nearby, just about anything you would need to turn your house into a home. There is plenty of fantastic nightlife in Plano, and for daytime entertainment, you might want to go for a ride in a hot air balloon or visit one of its world-famous spas.

The second city, Frisco, is one of the fastest-growing real estate markets in the country (CNN). Frisco's real estate market, like many other markets in Texas, has remained relatively strong throughout this recession.

You will be making a sound business investment, as well, by buying a home in Frisco at this time. Frisco is 20 minutes north of downtown Dallas, and 25 minutes from both Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and Love Field.

Like Plano, Frisco provides an excellent quality of life, it is also close to many businesses and has a popular conference center that holds trade shows year-round. Frisco is ranked as one of the best places to live in this Country -- it has small town charm, but also provides an atmosphere with a great school system, high job growth and a high median income. There is quite a variety of entertainment available in Frisco: the city has four professional sports teams you can root for, and there are over 150 pieces of art displayed in the city at any given time.

There is major league soccer play at Pizza Hut Park, where a variety of concerts and football take place, and the Dallas Stars are the popular home team.

There is a beautiful sculpture garden in Frisco as well which those with discerning taste will be very happy here.
