Your decision on where to begin will depend on the amenities you are looking for and the type of neighborhood that best suits you. The Dallas area is one of the most popular places to live in Texas, and there are two suburbs in particular that are superior choices. A safe living community, quality educational system and high-level housing are common to both.
Families with children, as well as single people looking to be near the limelight will be happy in either city, and they ar both convenient for business travelers. While there are very many nice cities in Texas, Plano stands out as a northeat suburb of Dallas as a city with about as many amenities as you will find anywhere. Plan is just a short drive from Texas, on well planned roads, which makes it about as much of a hot, up-and-coming community as you will find. There are many companies seeking new employees in the area of Plano, and many of these are Fortune 500.
Many corporate headquarters can be found here as well, making Plano a good choice for anyone seeking new job opportunities. Plano boasts an excellent school system, which will make both you and your children happier. More desirable cities can be a little underdeveloped in terms of their amenities, especially those that are smaller suburbs. Quite the contrary in Plano.
It will be quite easy for you to make a perfect home in Plano as it has shopping and dining for every taste. There is plenty of fantastic nightlife in Plano, and for daytime entertainment, you might want to go for a ride in a hot air balloon or visit one of its world-famous spas.
The second city, Frisco, is one of the fastest-growing real estate markets in the country (CNN). Frisco has held up very well and is a relatively strong market despite the current recession which has hit all areas, including real estate.
This shows that it has been a sound investment to buy a home in Frisco, and that is expected to continue. Downtown Dallas, Dallas Forth Worth International Airport and Love Field are all less than a half hour's drive from Frisco.
Both Plano and Frisco are close to many businesses, and Frisco has a conference center that is continuously in use for trade shows and conferences, satisfying a variety of interests. Of course, its school system is superb. Frisco is consistently ranked as one of the best places to live for its high job growth, high median income and small-town charm. For entertainment, Frisco has four professional sports teams, and there are over 150 pieces of art on public display throughout the city.
Pizza Hut park is located in Frisco; this is where the Dallas Stars are located, and it is also where major league soccer games are played and concerts are provided.
Those with more 'cultural' taste will enjoy the beautiful sculputre garden in Frisco and find a variety of events to suit them.
