You might wonder where you should start looking if you are thinking of moving to a home in Texas. This depends largely on the type of area you would like to live in and what your criterion are for moving or purchasing a new home. The Dallas area is one of the most popular places to live in Texas, and there are two suburbs in particular that are superior choices. A high quality educational system, the safety of a relatively small city and beautiful, unique homes can be found in both.
Families with children, as well as single people looking to be near the limelight will be happy in either city, and they ar both convenient for business travelers. Plano, Texas is a suburb just a bit northeast of Dallas that has about as much to offer as any city in the Country. Plan is just a short drive from Texas, on well planned roads, which makes it about as much of a hot, up-and-coming community as you will find. There are many companies seeking new employees in the area of Plano, and many of these are Fortune 500.
Many of those companies have their corporate headquarters in or near Plano, making it a good choice for those seeking an upward move in their career. Because Plano has a great school system, your children will also advance on their own road to success. More desirable cities can be a little underdeveloped in terms of their amenities, especially those that are smaller suburbs. Plano is a pleasant exception to this.
There are shopping and dining options for every taste - live in Plano and you will no longer have to worry where you will buy that specialty item that will turn your house into the home of your dreams. Whether you are a night-owl or prefer to entertain yourself during daylight hours, Plano has much to offer, such as hot-air baloon rides, world-famous spas and fantastic dining and dancing.
The second suburb you might consider, is Frisco, and it is one of the faster-growing communities in the real estate market (CNN). Frisco's real estate market, like many other markets in Texas, has remained relatively strong throughout this recession.
You will be making a business investment that is quite sound when you buy a home in Frisco. Downtown Dallas, Dallas Forth Worth International Airport and Love Field are all less than a half hour's drive from Frisco.
Both Plano and Frisco are close to many businesses, and Frisco has a conference center that is continuously in use for trade shows and conferences, satisfying a variety of interests. Frisco is ranked as one of the best places to live in this Country -- it has small town charm, but also provides an atmosphere with a great school system, high job growth and a high median income. There is quite a variety of entertainment available in Frisco: the city has four professional sports teams you can root for, and there are over 150 pieces of art displayed in the city at any given time.
Concerts, soccer and football are all played in Pizza Hut park, with the Dallas Stars using it as its home field.
Those with more 'cultural' taste will enjoy the beautiful sculputre garden in Frisco and find a variety of events to suit them.
