Addison is just ten miles north of Dallas and only 4.3 square miles in size.  The residential population is just 14,166, but soars to nearly 100,000 during a typical work day.

Addison real estate is a favorite of young single professionals with healthy incomes; the average age in Addison is 31. It is part of the DFW “Metrocrest,” the northern area of Dallas real estate comprised of Addison, Carrollton, and Farmers Branch.

Addison TX real estate is reasonably priced, perhaps because not many people realize that Addison homes for sale are even there.  Addison real estate can also go as high as over $1 million for some of the impressive luxury homes hidden away behind the city’s urban exterior.

For fun seekers, Addison hosts a number of outdoor festivals in the popular Addison Circle Park.  The Kaboom Town festival is held each July, Oktoberfest happens here in September, and the Taste of Addison food festival solidifies the town’s reputation as one of the yummiest in DFW.

Addison Airport, the third-largest general aviation airport in the country, offers area pilots a 7,200 foot runway and 24-hour flight services. 

Housing developments where you’ll find the best Addison homes for sale include Waterford Park, built in the early 1990’s and offering scenic lots and walking trails.  Midway Meadows is the oldest of Addison’s developments, with picturesque tree-lined streets and impressive homes.  For renters, the new Vitruvian Park is a $1 billion development that will offer apartment, retail, and office space.
